Instagram and Aging

This little micro business is my retirement business. I have worked very hard all my life. I have spent untold amounts of hours and tears learning things I never wanted to learn in order to bring my company forward. I did. I learned. I impressed myself. I grew a great business.

But now I am retired. My attitude is very changed in so many ways. I don’t want to learn more things for business. I want to go explore life. I want to drink new and interesting cocktails with friends, go to the city more, spend untold hours in Genealogy, write a novel… just so many things to do.

So this little micro business will be my pleasure, easy to manage, and using skills I have had all my life, sewing is a deep piece of my soul and bloodline. But in today’s world even with a micro business, one must have a social presence, I am experienced at that as well, no problem. I can even enjoy it.

But what I will not do is bring things into my life that cause annoyance. And when I added Quadlayers to this WordPress in order to create a fun Instagram feed stream, it would not update…..even after paying for premium… (that’s right people, just take my money.) I Youtubed, Reddit, FB’ed, etc…. finding more and more people complaining the feed doesn’t update, there was no solution. So what did old retired me do??? Deleted it. Yup. We just won’t have an IG stream on the blog….See? Wasn’t that easy?… It’s called retirement. I am here to have fun and enjoy the loves of my life. Quadlayers wasn’t even a good neighbor.

And to all the hundreds of Social Media Managers that call and write everyday offering to manage my new business…. Don’t bother…. “I’m” not even managing it….I’m retired…. I’m just gonna have fun. The term “media strategy” is no longer in my vocabulary…. It’s covered up by the great big word, FUN! So please go try to manage someone else. I’m not really manageable at this point. I’m retired, having fun with a micro business. See you if you need your pants hemmed.
